Water Fun

We usually spend the August long weekend in Kalispell. Kind of a tradition I suppose. So this year we were all down there again. But this time with a new member of the family. We got to go wedding dress shopping with Britnee there and we also got our bridesmaid dresses. It was so fun. Plus one evening we went out to Alan's family's cabin. We had a super yummy dinner and did some water fun.

You know cuz the last time he did it was BEFORE his mission which was......11 years ago! I was pretty sure he wasn't going to be able to even get up. (Nice support from the wife eh?) But he did! Not too shabby!

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Yep, I turned 28! Seriously, when did I get so dang old? My family cooked me a super yummy steak birthday dinner and cheesecake birthday cake. Mmmmm! Kinsey spent the day walking around singing "Happy Berday Mommy!"

I guess Tim thought it was time for me to have scriptures that say "Ashlee Nilsson" on them instead of "Ashlee Wright". What? We've only been married almost 6 years. Well, I suppose it was time too. My other ones were well "loved". I got them when I started Seminary 14 years ago!

Calgary Zoo

When we went up to Okotoks to meet baby Tayden we also went to the zoo. Kinsey loves animals and we thought this would be so fun. I'll be honest...she liked the zoo, but didn't love the zoo. It was a lot of watching animals sleep in the far back corner of a pen. Not so exciting for her. Her favorite was hands down all the butterflies. She loved that place. (Such a girl eh?) And the new Dinosaurs Alive scared her to bits. Every time one roared or moved she would climb up Tim and hide while saying "Too Scared!" hehe



Take her to the zoo to see all the animals and all she wants to do is talk on the phone!

Baby Tayden

We made a trip to Okotoks this weekend to meet brand new little Tayden. Julie had her little boy just the day before. Way too exciting that our best friends both had their baby in the same week.

And Kinsey and Kyla really liked each other too. heheWe went to a Stampede breakfast with the Allreds and Kyla & Kinsey liked the petting zoo.

B's Engaged!

Ahhhhh, my little sister is engaged! I'm way too excited! Britnee and Alan went to the Oregon Coast to visit his sister and he proposed to her there. I'm so happy for them!

Congratulations Britnee & Alan! You're better than the best!

Bowling

I am a TERRIBLE bowler. Like sooooo terrible and for some reason Single Adults like to do it all the time in Lethbridge. I never got any better - 5 pin or 10 pin. Ugh! In highschool we had a PE unit on bowling and your grade was determined by the score you got bowling. Ya, I would've failed. Lucky for me, my boyfriend at the time would throw a few balls here and there for me when the teacher wasn't looking to up my score. Shhhhh don't tell.

Anyways, Auntie Kimmy thought a FHE night of bowling would be fun. And she was right. It was Kinsey's first time. She loved her fancy shoes.

Miss Alexa

We rushed down to Lethbridge today when Tim got off work. Tara had a beautiful baby girl. We were so excited to meet Miss Alexa. Kinsey kept telling us that she wanted to hold "Baby Lexa".


Congrats Trent, Tara, and big brother Blake. Your little girl is beautiful!

Surveyor's Lake

We love Surveyor's Lake. I spent countless summer days there growing up. We would camp there and have our swimming lessons there every year. However I have never taken Tim or Kinsey there. So we did. Kinsey now has decided that she loves playing in the sand and in the water. Too much fun!
Tim did some snorkeling and found some pretty good treasures on the bottom of the lake.
We always did the little hike/trail around the lake. Daddy and Kinsey were having fun trying to spot all the turtles. (There are a lot of them.)However they did find a funny looking troll under the bridge.

Quad Rescue

Our neighbors here in Jaffray had a "mishap" the other day while quading. Actually it was very scarey as they somehow got off the trail and started straight down a super steep bank. Luckily the quad got wedge on a little tree and it stopped their fall. They were both okay. A couple days later Tim went up to help them get the quad back up the cliff.

Bye Bye Grampa

We're so glad Grampa was able to come visit us. Hopefully next time he can bring more of that Las Vegas sun cuz Kinsey thinks here in Canada we need toques and mitts in July. hehe We're glad we got to do lots of fun things with Grampa like camping, scenic drives, and quading. Goodbye "Rumpa"! Hope to see you again really soon!

Happy Canada Day!

Had a very fun Canada Day! Went to Auntie May's annual pancake breakfast. Soooo yummy! Tim missed out cuz he had to work. Then we headed to Lethbridge to meet up with Trent, Tara, & Blake for the Fireworks. Fun day! I ate way too much!
