Family, Parades, & Huckleberries!

This last weekend we went to Jaffray for the Fall Fair. We had so much fun! We got to spend lots of time with family, enjoy a parade, quad/hunt, and go huckleberry picking.

Got to go for walks with 2 of my very best friends!
Jayda & Parker drove this little float in the parade and won first place! Kinsey had to try out the driver seat with both Danyca and Kamry:

The hunters weren't so mighty as they came home empty handed. But they sure have some cute little girls!

Mmmmm huckleberries! There's nothing quite like them. Yummy!

Missing Corn

I decided to try and freeze some corn today. I've never done it before, but I watched someone on You Tube do it this morning and I think I've got it figured out. hehe Oh course I had help from my little buddy. She's always there to lend a helping hand. We went on the deck to husk the corn and she was busy carrying all the cobs around. I went around and gathered them all up, but was still missing one. I finally found it......

Kinsey had put it in the seat of her car and was trying to make a quick getaway. She's so funny! She's such a little smartie. Remind me when my keys or wallet go missing that they're probably in her car cuz this isn't the first time that the missing object has been found in this location. We search for ages for her bobby the other day to finally find it in her car.
I sure love my little buddy! She makes my days so fun!

Camping at Little Bow

Tim was off so we went camping. Are you surprised? We decided to try out Little Bow. I've never been there. Tim grew up there. Well not exactly, but he grew up in Champion which is only minutes away from Little Bow. With all the kids back in school we had the campground to ourselves. We had fun hiking, riding bikes, fishing, playing on the swings, swimming the dogs, and eating campfire pies.

Here's our campsite:
Kinsey & Tim went for a walk:
A little hike along the water:
Maybe it wasn't a "little" hike. Kinsey got tired:

Watching the dogs play in the water:Looking for good skipping rocks with Daddy:It was so pretty there:
Can you see that black line across my bum? Well I have a bruise across my bum shaped like that line. My tailbone is so sore. I jumped back when a wasp came at me and tripped on the campfire ring. It was ugly. I have two huge bruises on my calves where the ring caught them and a giant bruise on my tailbone where I landed on the ring. It's ouchie!

Camping at Pole Haven

After Kinsey's birthday bash Tim still had a few days before he needed to be back at work, so the three of us headed out camping. We went to Pole Haven and crossed our fingers that we wouldn't dump our quad over in the river like last time. But we had much better luck. Actually the three of us just took it easy and did some gentle sight-seeing quading around the area.

We had a great time relaxing. Well, except for the bear sighting...TWICE! Have I ever told you how completely freaked I am of bears? I won't camp in a tent because of bears. I'd lay away all night thinking I was hearing a bear outside our tent. And then that really did happen and that was the very last time I slept in a tent. Anywho, bears.....yikes! And yes we saw a bear twice while quading.

Here's a video of Kinsey telling us about the bear:
(To be honest I don't think she even saw the bear cuz I made Tim turn around so fast. hehe)

Kinsey loves camping, but nap times kinda get thrown off when we're out there. I swear every time she went for a walk or a quad ride with Tim she came back sleeping. Each one of these pics is from a different time:

And have I ever told you about Kinsey's best friend. It's Diesel. Those two love each other. Kinsey just can't get enough of him and is even starting to try and say his name. She calls him "Dies" - not bad eh? And even though most people can't tell our two black dogs apart, Kinsey can. She climbs on Diesel and rides him like a horsey and plays "peek-a-boo" with him, but she doesn't really have a whole lot to do with Dexter. Just her and Diesel! Here they are playing peek-a-boo (Kinsey's laugh is so dang cute.):

It was right on the little creek and yes, Kinsey is sleeping in the backpack in this pic too:

We sure had fun. But I don't want it to be the last for the season. So we haven't put the trailer away yet!
