Christmas Holidays

Christmas was GREAT! So much more fun with a little one (even if she totally didn't get it). We spent Christmas in BC as usual. Kinsey was the first one awake Christmas morning (shocking) and I decided that if Kinsey and her mommy have to be awake then everyone should. So we went around the house and woke everyone up. So here are some pictures of our Christmas.

Dang It's COLD!

So it's been -30*C (and colder) almost all of December now. We're freezing. Our dogs have been living in our garage. We put them outside but with the windchill it's been like -44*C and they won't even put all four paws down at once. They stand on three legs and alternate which paw they hold up. And when they're tired of that, they set up camp on top of our hot tub (which they're not allowed on, but I made an exception this time) to try and get some heat from there. And then Friday night (about midnight) Tim was just finishing up work and went to to start the car....NO HEAT! The fan didn't even work. Nothing! He had to drive home in -40 with no heat (or defrost). Luckily the car's under warranty so we took it in yesterday to be fixed. It we weren't so mad about the heat not working I would have taken a pic of Tim. Kinsey and I were in the truck laughing at him. He had to drive into Lethbridge with frosted up windows. All he had to see was a little scraped hole to peek though. hehe We're FREEZING here in Canada!!

Kinsey's So Chatty!

This is what I live with - a VERY chatty 3.5 mth old baby. She's only quiet when eating or sleeping. No, I take that back. She's even a noisy eater. Here she is "talking" to her toy while she plays with it. She was this noisy while playing with this toy for about an hour. But it's not just this toy...she's just chatty all the time. Except for when the camera comes out (blank stare). But I tricked her and took this video on the web cam.

Kinsey & Santa

I took Kinsey to the mall the other day and got a picture of her with Santa. She's such a smiley baby, but I think I've told you before that when the camera comes out she does a blank stare. We could NOT get her to smile with Santa. At least she's not crying right?

Sweet Sweet Baby

So in trying to get Kinsey's Christmas card done and sent, I just realized I never showed you guys the birth announcement that we sent out when Kinsey was born. So here you go (3 mths late). And if you can't read the writing on the photo it says, "...from His hands to ours..."

Christmas Photos

Trying to get a Christmas photo of a 3 month old baby is HARD WORK. I either get a picture of her tongue stuck out trying to eat/lick her shirt like so: Or one like this:
Guess we'll try again tomorrow!

Busy Busy

So we've been pretty busy lately. Tons has happened. We put up all our decorations for Christmas the other day. Totally love them! I'm so excited. We're all finished our Christmas shopping too and most are wrapped and under the tree. Now I can work on a few little projects that I have. And get my Christmas baking done too.

My Kinsey Baby is three months old already. What the heck eh? She's growing so fast. This last month she changed so much. She sleeps less during the day now, but she also entertains herself some. Yep, she's figured out her hands and love grab at things and put them to her mouth now. She loves the toys and lights on her Jumperoo (she hasn't figured out the jumping part yet). I took her to be weighed and measured and she's didn't gain much weight this last month (only a few ounces). She's now 12lbs 14oz. But she grew...she REALLY grew. She's now 25.5" long. Oh ya, my baby is gonna be tall just like her Auntie Kimmy.

And check out what I made today - a headband. Yep, all by myself. I'm so not good at this kind of stuff, but I have to say the headband turned out quite well. I even made the flower clip. I'm impressed with myself (hehe). My little model was tired though and didn't really want to take pictures. And she's still wearing her jammies in the pics. Oh well!

Kinsey & Mama

Mama & Bupbup came to Alberta last weekend for a temple trip. Kinsey and I went over to Wal-Mart to see them before they had to head back home to BC. Mama had Kinsey trying out all the cool toys (Daddy's two favorite things - horses and quads). Who needs Santa when Kinsey has Mama, right? hehe

Today is Mama's birthday. We wish we could be there with her to celebrate. But we're thinking about her today and wishing her the best. And hopefully we'll see her soon.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA!
We love you to the moon and back!

Too Much Fun!

Last week was BUSY! Kinsey and I were everywhere but home. Tara was a hunting widow last week, so we packed up our babies and we went to visit Julie & Kyla in Okotoks. Poor Kendall had to put up with 3 ladies and 3 babies. Ya, the house was pretty noisy at times. But so much fun. We got to go out for brunch and go shopping. What more could girls ask for right?

Mommies & Babies:
After shopping Tara and I took Kinsey and Blake up to SAIT to visit Auntie B and to check out her dorm room. She was on the 16th floor and the view of city centre was amazing. (Tara the chicken wouldn't look out the window!) Then we all went out for dinner. And right when we were heading back to Okotoks Auntie B asked Kinsey and I to have a sleepover with her back in her dorm. So luckily I carry around EVERYTHING in Kinsey's diaper bag, so a sleepover wasn't out of the question. Yep, we went back to SAIT and stayed with Auntie B. (I guess we were breaking Auntie B in for when she comes to live with us in December.) And Auntie B made Kinsey giggle for the first time. She did it over and over again and Daddy was on the phone so he got to hear the giggles too. It was so darn cute.
Kinsey & Auntie B in her dorm room:
We came home on Friday just in the nick of time. Friday night Kinsey and I were SO SICK and Saturday was a write off. We're slowly getting over it, but boy being sick sucks.

Anywho, thanks so much to the Allreds and to Auntie B for letting us have a fun little holiday. We had a blast!!!

When you see a deer, you see Bambi...

...and I see antlers up on the wall. While Kinsey and I were in Jaffray, Tim kept himself busy. Tim went hunting for the very first time ever. Trent, Tara, and Blake took him out and he got a Whitetail Buck. Not too shabby for his first time eh? He loved it! (Except he had to wade across that river.) Thanks a million to "Rasmussen Outfitters" for helping him out and teaching Tim the hunting ways. You guys are great friends!

Trip to Jaffray

Last week Kinsey and I made a trip into Jaffray to visit Mama, Bupbup, Auntie Jenn, and Kinsey's cousins. We had such a fun time. It was nice to hang out and do some baking for Bupbup while Mama was at work. We love going to Jaffray for visits!! Thanks for letting us stay with you Mama!

Here are Danyca and Kinsey - we were going to town with Auntie Jenn:

My Baby's 2 Months Old!

Wow, where does the time go? Kinsey is already 2 mths old! Had to take her for her shots the other day...so not fun. But she did really well. She's now 12lbs 2oz and 24" long. Yep, growing like a weed. Our sleeping routine has been figured out - Thank Goodness! Night time is really good now. We are just having a blast with her. She's so much fun. And I love how alert she is. It's great when they start interacting more and more. I just love her to pieces. Go check out Kinsey's photo album for more pics.

They Grow Too Fast!

A week ago I took Kinsey to her doctor's appt for her follow-up. At 7 weeks old she was 11lbs 2oz and 23.5" long. Her weight is in the normal range, but her length...that puts her in the 100th percentile. The doctor says she's gonna be one tall girl! Mama always said she had grasshopper legs. Kinsey and I went to Jaffray for a few days last week. We got to hang out with Auntie Jenn, Jayda, Parker, & Danyca during the day and Mama & Bupbup in the evenings. It was fun! We originally thought Danyca was always trying to get to Kinsey to "see the baby", but it turns out she was just trying to steal Kinsey's soother instead.

Mama giving Kinsey a bath (don't worry - we didn't use the Sunlight to wash her):

While in Jaffray we were able to go over and meet Kinsey's new little friend Desiree.
Kinsey (1.5 mths), Danyca (9 mths), & Desiree (2 days):
Kinsey is so much fun now. She's really started interacting a lot more with us lately. She's always cooing. I've been able to record it on my cell phone, but have had no luck getting any video of her cooing. As soon as the camera comes out she stops looking at Mommy and therefore talking to Mommy and does a blank stare at the camera. It's so funny!
